2007 Oregon Bicycle Summit Update
The goal: OREGON: #1 bicycle destination in the USA!
Nearly 125 participants from all over the state converged in Sisters April 13-14, 2007 to continue work toward the goal. While celebrating our achievements, the Summit provided an opportunity to focus on the work ahead: an enhanced legislative agenda, improving facilities, and increasing awareness of cycling opportunities in Oregon - for Oregonians and visitors alike!
League of American Bicyclists' executive director Andy Clarke led off the Summit, with nearly 25 presenters and exhibitors sharing the latest in cycling industry news, research, trends, products and cycling venues. Many are working to tie Oregon's bikeways, trails, routes, shops, lodging properties (and so much more) together for the benefit of visitors cycling in the state. The Summit helped inaugurate Sisters' new Five Pine Lodge & Conference Center, a great addition for cycling visitors.
A big THANK YOU to each of the 2007 Summit sponsors and exhibitors!
